Description:Snapping turtles can deliver extremely NASTY bites. The snapping turtles normal diet is small and large fish but will ocassionally bite humans (this is because our feet look like big, smelly fish to them). Snapping turtles range is around California and other parts of the South West. Like all turtles; the snapping turtle will retreat to the the safety of the strong shell. Because of their webbed feet, these turtles are very fast swimmers. The alligator snapping turtle is extremely large, about four to six feet. They can also scratch quite toughly. They commonly live in streams, rivers, and lakes.
