Kid: Hey a worm snake!
blind Snake: I'll show you worm!
Kid: AARGH!
| Description: | Blind Snakes are group of snakes highly evolved to live a subterranean existence. They are unlike other snakes in appearance having worm-like bodies of even thickness from the head to tail tip. Their eyes are not obvious and are present as small dark spots under semi-transparent scales. They eat termites and ants. These snakes live in various regions around the world. The smalles snake in the world is actually a kind of blind snake, the brahamy blind snake. Most of these minute, miniscule snakes live in deserty regiions, mostly africa. They are often called "worm snakes" because of their appearance, but that creates confusion about the ~*"worm"*~ lizard (applaud me on my creativity during lack of an italics button!). The worm lizard, remember, is a legless lizard. These are often confused with amphisbaenids and cacaelians (a kind of legless, snakelike amphibian). |
