| Description: | This cobra is clearly annoyed. some snakes -- such as green or black mambas -- immitate the way the cobra uses it's hood. Cobras are the only creature alive that can easily take down an elaphant. These guys are in the Elapidae snake family, meaning they are closely related to mambas, kraits, corals, and the fer-de-lance. the cobras extremely potent venom is packed with nerotoxins (attacking the nervous system) and hemotoxins (attacking the blood system), which sometimes is launched at large prey/attackers. They can only strike as far a they are reared up (Cobras can't strike without showing their well known but still infamous hood first. These animals are often said to tie the black mamba in dangerousness. The King cobra has a lot of powerful venom, but it isn't extremely agggressive, unlike the normal amount of venom the extremely potent and aggressive Black Mamba. |
