Hey up there in the trees, look! A BBQ (bird buffet queso).
| Description: | Even though if you live in the US and think all vipers are pit vipers, this is not true... there are some vipers that do not have pits. most of these reptiles eat small rodents, and are very common. The one country there is no species of vipers at all is australia, which is strange because australia is the only continient with more venomous than non-venomous snakes. Along with most other venomous serpents, it is advised to steer clear of vipers unless observing from far away or a trained pro. The Gabon viper has the longest fangs of any snake, two inches. Often confused with the rhino viper, it is a quick swimmer but slow slitherer. All of these snakes are venomous, and utilize hemotoxins. The saw scaled viper is a quite interesting creature. Pretty much the seed of the "snakes hiss" myth, they rub their keeled scales together ver hard and great an almost rattling noise. They also are one of the few serpents to deliver mostly dry bites. |
