| Description: | Here's the section for records that haveto do with snakes. above is the longest snake, the reticulated python. shot at thirty-two feet, eight inches, this python is massive, normally growing to twenty feet or more. anyway, here are some records I've come across. these are all updated.
heaviest snake--anaconda. The second largest snake in the world grows almost to thirty feet long, and weighs up to four hundred-fifty pounds!
Longest venomous snake--king cobra--18 feet. This huge elapid can rear up high enough to look a grown person in the eye.
Most deadly snake--king cobra has lots and lots of strong vemom; black mamba has extremely potent venom. The black mamba is also very agressive, and has been known as the only snake to attack humans without being provoked.
fastest snake--black mamba. The black mamba can reach fifteen miles an hour--almost as much as an olympic sprinter!
Smallest snake--brahammy blind snake. Grows less than a foot long and fits compfortably in a pencil that does not have lead.
Most normally aggresive snake--black mamba. Strikes at almost anything edible that is not a plant.
Oldest snake--A forty year old boa constrictor was reported. It was very long for its species too.
Most Powerful snake--The anaconda is extremely strong, eating any crocodilian or large mammal it can find. |
