"I'm not photogenic!!!" Yes you are!!!" "Are not!" "Are too!" "Are not!" "are not!" "Are too, Dang!"
| Description: | bearded Dragons are large 20 inch lizards from Australia. They get they're name from the spikes on their chins that puff out when they are annoyed or frightened. they eat anything smaller than the space beetween their eyes. They are popular beginner pets that are amazingly easy to care for. These lizards also have one of the widest coler variety. citrus, snow, fire, all the colors and shades of the rainbow (exageration). They are members of the "hard tongued" lizard family. This is the family that Geckos and beaded lizards belong to also. The other group is the iguanids. These lizards are as common in parts of australia as pigeons in europe and squirrels in America. But other parts of the Outback barely have any of them at all. Endangered in the wild, CITES keeps them from being exported to any other countries. But a few are smuggled, some were stowaways, and some were brought to the pet trade before CITES existed. |
