To be a snake or not to be a snake, that is the question...
| Description: | Glas lizards, aka legless lizards, are the oddity of the lizard community. thay don't have legs, so why aren't they snakes? answer: unlike all snakes, they 1. have external ears, 2. have eyelids, and 3. are capable of knocking off their tail in the midst of a predetor. some glass lizards live in northern europe, while others in the suburbs of california. these reptiles aren't very common in the pet trade, but can be found. For more information, you can really just look at the other lizards albums and ignore anything that says "legs" in it. Interestingly, the Earless monitor is more closely related to snakes than glass lizards. |
