I was walking around a local pet store, waiting to get the pinkies and crickets I had come for, as I contemplatedthe similarities between the adult and baby false red tail boa I had seen. I approached a "U" like constuction of cages. I peered into the cages. A tiny little beautiful dragon looked up at me, and I smiled. As I moved on, I came to a new cage, two peculiar appearing animals stared at me. They were very interesting creatures. The cage label said; "Forest Chameleon." this genus was familiar sounding, but from where, I didn't remember. This critter had a tall fin-like ridge that rose up from the cavity above the area between the eyes and ran down the head, to about the middle of the back. After that was a very small ridge. the tail was about nine inches long, as opposed to the six inch body. The index "finger"was huge. It looked like an automatically insulting finger. This was not a chameleon. I waited until the guy behind the counter, David, was finished with a customer, and I inquired. "Are those forest chameleons actally chams?" I asked. "Actualy, their iguanas. Helmeted Iguanas, to be excact." He came out from behind the counter and opened the cage. He took out the lizard. One had a slight cut in its frill. "Can I hold him?" I asked. I too the little guy and he crawled up on my shoulder. He liked it up there! I smiled. "This little guy isn't doing so well," Said David, a bright look coming over his face. "Hey, how about you take him for free? just ty to rehabilitate him. That's the only price," He said, grinning. I gladly accepted, and we took him home. Now his name is Joey.
